Roseanne (1988-1997) 07/01/2008
Out of all the sitcoms created by stand-up comics (i.e. Seinfeld, Everybody Loves Raymond) Roseanne stands out as a sincere blend of drama and comedy. These white-trash rednecks are conscious of their social status and are completely uninhibited in their actions.
Firefly (2002) 07/01/2008
This show was amazing. I never saw it when it aired, but a friend had the first (and only) season on DVD so I watched it. The acting is good, the stories and scripting are good, and the feel of it is just fantastic.
Farmer Wants a Wife 06/25/2008
America's Next Top Model 06/25/2008
This show has marathons more than any other show in the history of all shows. It's tremendously addictive for any female between the ages of 13 and 23. At 19, I am at the prime age of addiction. I really like the hair, make-up and creative aspects of the photo shoots. I love the pictures at the end. Otherwise, the commentary from the girls starts to sound the same after a few seasons and isn't so interesting. Tyra, the host, has a crazy personality and her co-judges are dramatically gay. And then there is Nigel Barker...he's really nice to look at.
American Idol (2002-?) 06/23/2008
The show's popularity is tremendous. Produced by Simon Cowell, the show increases in votes every year. Also, American Idol is now giving back and giving to charity. It's good to support the show. And...as much as I didn't think people would actually be successful, most of our new superstars are coming from the show. Personally, it isn't that exciting for me anymore, but I like to watch the auditions, the "give back" performances, and the latter episodes if I have time.
Arrested Development (2003-2006) 06/20/2008
Best writing for quite some time. The Bluth family is dysfunctional and all living under the same roof.
Family Guy (1999) 06/20/2008
Family Guy is an American favorite. I watch it whenever it's on. The Griffin family is dysfunctional and hilarious. Once you get to know the characters, it's smooth sailing from there. I rarely will give 5 stars...
